Creative Pokemon Fan Transforms Eevee into a Rock-Type: Meet Jadeon
In a display of imaginative fandom, a skilled Pokemon enthusiast has reenvisioned Eevee as a Rock-type creature, introducing an evolution of this type for the beloved Pokemon for the first time. Despite the Pokemon franchise boasting over a thousand creatures, Eevee maintains a special place in fans’ hearts since its introduction in Gen 1. This fox-like Normal-type Pokemon gained immense popularity, even earning itself a dedicated holiday in Japan known as Eevee Day.
Recognized by Guinness World Records for having the most evolutions, Eevee boasts a total of eight. From the initial trio in Gen 1—Vaporeon, Jolteon, and Flareon—to later additions like Espeon, Umbreon, Leafeon, Glaceon, and the Gen 6 Sylveon, Eevee’s evolutionary versatility has captivated fans over the years. While hopes were high for a new Eeveelution in Gen 9 with the release of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, it didn’t materialize. Instagram user vcreateart envisioned Eevee as a Rock-type Pokemon, resulting in the impressive creation named Jadeon. Drawing inspiration from the gemstone jade, Jadeon features black and gray tones with a distinctive heart-shaped adornment on its chest. The ears and tail exhibit firmness with green detailing on the tips, while its face takes on a masked appearance. Introducing a new evolution method, the artist suggests that to transform into Jadeon, Eevee needs to level up while holding a pair of jade studs, which become part of its body.
The fan art not only showcases the visual transformation but also provides additional context to Jadeon’s evolution, earning the title of the “Jewelry Pokemon.” According to the artist, Jadeon possesses the abilities Clear Body and Rock Head, and despite having only 90 HP, it distinguishes itself with a naturally stiff face, preventing it from displaying emotions overtly. Instead, Jadeon expresses affection through actions, embodying a caring Pokemon that utilizes its healing abilities for the well-being of both humans and Pokemon. Notably, this concept aligns with the artist’s inspiration from jade, a gemstone believed by some to possess healing properties.
